"there is a place we can go for a feeling where the bright lights take you over"
what I didn't understand before being exposed to it was that like most genres of music there is a community. but unlike most genres- there is a vibrant culture that has roots of inclusivity, openness and acceptance. "all are welcome here" doesn't mean all gays. it doesn't mean all house heads. it means all who have good intentions and vibes. all who are open and want to share a safe space. one that has become almost sacred to me.
this is what I hope to cultivate with our efforts. a thriving colorful community where we accept our shortcomings, and responsibility for them so we can work hard, dance hard and live our lives to the fullest. we know life isn't perfect. it isn't meant to be. but it is BEAUTIFUL nonetheless. and it deserves celebrating through music and dance and good company.
what are some things you have discovered about the rave community?
